Quick Update

Amaya lost her fever finally and went to school today! yeah :) She was sick with a fever since friday afternoon. We have some tests we still need to get back from the doctor. she had her kindergarten screening and did awesome. She has some fine motor skills they are going to watch her on (including how to hold a pencil), but she blew them away with all the words she's learned to read at home :) She has to get a chickenpox booster before she can start school. Since she did get the first one, I'm going to go ahead and get her the second one. If last minute or last minute research (anyone know the scoop here???) I'll just sign off on the exemption forms :P~

Dh had his interview today with Genesis 10. (www.genesis10.com) They are basically scouts for larger companies and they have a banking institution that is interested in dh for IT security. Genesis10 will pay him for the first 90 days and he'll work as a temp to hire for the company. Genesis10 will be paying dh a significant amount more than what he gets paid now. Once he's hired onto the company as a permanent employee he can negotiate his pay and genesis10 is saying he's worth twice what he's making now. I really want this to happen so I can quit walmart and focus on getting my MA and staying home with the kids and family or finding a better job. Either way it'll be good for us and the kids. We'll know if dh gets the job once the banking company interviews him. We are unsure of that date. Otherwise he'll continue to work where he is and if Genesis10 gets notice of another opening and keep interviewing, etc until he's hired as a temp with them and then permanently with a company. But he wont be originally hired until a company takes him as a temp.

Got my car back. We are talking to a lawyer about the coverage we were supposed to receive on the car to get that taken care of.

Hana was in a better mood, lost a tooth, freaked out because she accidentally threw it in the garbage. When she was eating her meatball at dinner she thought she bit into something hard and so she spit the whole mouthful into the garbage. Later on she realized it was indeed her tooth. So she drew a picture for the tooth faerie. Which reminds me... I should go and do tooth faerie duty. heh.
