Feeling like crap
28 July 2006Posted by Mother Faerie @ Friday, July 28, 2006 OMG I feel like crap. I just had the worse asthma attack. I felt it coming on all day and I really should of just stopped and taken it easy. After my inhaler didn't work and I was getting worse by just laying there, I got up and took two back to back treatments on the nebulizer. I then took a scolding hot shower and then another treatment. I popped some allergy meds and steroids and just now starting to feel better. The last hour and a half was miserable :( Now I'm shaking like a leaf, but at least I feel better than I would sitting there half exhausted in the hospital ER to recieve the same stuff and then sent home. heh.
I really hope whatever it is isn't the start of something, and that it was just a bad attack. I don't think it helped going to my sister's new apt. The previous owner had a dog and I think that that's what did me in. I'm allergic to dogs, but after a few visits with the same dog, I'm usually okay as long as I take my inhaler before staying in dog's home.
I was supposed to help my sister out with moving. But as Abe got home I noticed Amaya's arm where she got her immunization was swollen and she freaked out when I touched it :( So I got concerned and had to call the pediatrician. Of course at the same time my cell phone decided to be glitchy and not recieve incoming calls and kept sending them directly to voice mail and I missed her call back twice!!! I feel like shit over that. ::sigh:: After awhile the swelling did go down, but I gave her a dose of benedryl anyways. If it swells up again, I need to call the pedi so we can get her in to be seen.
Otherwise the day was alright. I took the girls to the dentist. Amaya for her first visit and Makayla for her fillings. They did alright. Amaya was so good :) I took them out to breakfast and they enjoyed pancakes, scrambled eggs for Mak. Came home and waited for Abe to get here and then the arm thing with Amaya and then to my sisters, only to get there to apologize for not being thier sooner and not being able to help. She couldn't start unpacking because they were going in to paint and shampoo the rug in the bedroom first, so really we were useless. Abe and I took the girls for pizza. Our sinful treat, at least it's somewhat balanced LOL. We had icecream afterwards and then took a trip to the park. I got some more great pictures of the girls I'll have to upload tomorrow or Saturday when I have time.
Well I think I'm going to feel as good as I can for now, so I'm going to try to go and lay down while I can. I doubt I'll fall asleep... isn't that what insomnia is all about?? heh.
Babysitting tomorrow! :) C and C are dear to my hearts. The girls enjoy C's company and playing and I somehow get isolated from the whole lot of them taking care of little C. He's a good boy though, and seems to be outgrowing some of his crankies now that he likes to play and socialize a bit more :) We are working on potty training C. She just doesn't want to do it though!!! She's not scared on the potty and just wont tell me. She wont even tell makayla when she needs to go. We were talking about it the other day to her mom and C said out loud "I'm just not going to do it!" I thought I would die laughing, but I only smiled and chuckled and L pretended not to hear her. I guess we'll see what happens there... maybe she'll get better when the girls are in school and she's here on her own with brother in the mornings....
