Update on us all :)
21 February 2007Posted by Mother Faerie @ Wednesday, February 21, 2007 Me first! It's been one week since my surgery. I'm feeling much better and the mild cramping is not as often and I can deal with them with just advil now. It's just a wait and see game now. I'm really optimistic that the surgery will make things a lot easier on me :)
Work is blah, but there. I think I'm definitely going to move on from wal-mart once the kids are in school full time next year. I think it's time to get back into social work one way or the other. We'll see what happens.
Abe is doing well. He works hard still holds it altogether. He's been great and supportive in his own quiet way. I don't think he wants to talk about it because it'll upset me or perhaps it bothers him more than he's letting on. Just not sure.
We got our new dryer delivered today! yeah!!! It now only takes 30 minutes to dry a load of clothes instead of the two hours it was taking with our other machine. I bet we see a huge improvement in our electrical bill in a months time! haha! I also got our taxes done today. yeah!
While I was recovering from surgery the girls all had parent teacher conferences and Abe went to those. They are all doing wonderful in school :) Makayla received state awards for her state testing in mathematics and reading. She tests really well. She Aced another quarter in her studies. She also joined the math team and will be one of the students representing her school in a math test against other schools in the area at the end of March. She's really excited about participating in that.
Hana is also doing well in school. She's reading beautifully and all the children like her in the class. She is still my spunky girl and her latest quirk was over one of her big girl teeth. She thought it was loose and it wasn't but it completely upset her into uncontrollable melt down :( Makayla was able to calm her down and she got over it but still wont talk about it :( :(
Amaya is doing well in school too. She's learning her phone number and address and in so many ways still the baby. She's growing tall and just turned 5 on the 11th. She's still carrying around the purple blanky and still sucking on her finger upside down :P~ She loves school though and looks forward to going every day!
Jacks is doing good! He's such a good pet. He loved the snow and now is enjoying more of his day outside now that it's nicer out. He listens really well and has been a great addition to the family!
I have more pictures to share, but I'm on dh's computer instead of mine where they are all stored, so it'll be in a day or two before I'll be able to upload them!
