Meet Jacks!!

Jacks is our new beautiful miniature schnauzer. We did a lot of research on breeds and found that he'd be the perfect smaller dog, but sturdy, easy going and loyal and all that jazz. The bonus is that he doesn't shed or sheds very little, which is true!!! :) And he's a good choice for people with asthma, which is important for me and makayla.

He's purebred, and he's fourth generation schnauzer. We can register him and I have the papers to do that, although I don't have any plans on showing him or breeding him. In fact I hope to have him fixed in a few months.

Jacks is very shy and timid right now. I bought him off a breeding kennel out in no man's land MO. After watching him with the breeder and having him at home it's very obvious that he is not human socialized and he was kept in a kennel most of his life. He loves his kennel and prefers the safety of it. It's also very evident that he was in a kennel because he peed on his bedding! Caged dogs have no other choice. otherwise dogs never soil their own bedding :(

He's a mule about the leash. He's so stubborn. He wont budge or move. He lays down or sits. He's got lots of learning to do, but we are being patient with him and enjoying him a lot.

He doesn't mind being held and petted and doesn't mind the kids at all either. He's starting to sniff around more today. he's also making noise! yeah. He's growling at different sounds that he hears. Little guy thinks he's tough or something ;)

He's got his first vet appt. today.

Got the ebay thing situated...I hope. Hopefully I'll have a ligit buyer at the end of the auction this time :)

Got the pork thing situated. Last year I filled out the same form. I didn't save a copy of it like I normally do and I guess my memory isn't the best so I didn't recall it. :/
I just signed off as the authority, which is what I did to Amaya's.

I've been on vacation all week so we've been doing fun things :) We had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we went to river market (see picture in next post down). We ate at the Arab resteraunt. Yum Yum. It's once again Lentil soup season! My most favorite!!

Yesterday we took the kids Boo at the Zoo. We trick or treated around the zoo, took lots of pictures...the next to be uploaded, hopefully sometime soon! Poor hana went into sensory overload and her costume was "too heavy" and she started crying. So she went with just bunny ears on :) Amaya was a doggy and Amaya was Laura Ingalls. We walked around the zoo and we were there over three hours. Lots of fun :)

I'm cleaning up the kitchen today. It's so nice to have this house de-cluttered!! Yeah!!! I've donated over 5 bags of toys and at least 3 of clothing. After I finish the kitchen I just have the family room down stairs (which Abe did the closet of already!) :) And my room...but that's not so bad right now.

I am now -29 lbs! I'm still doing great on my diet :) Go me! After all I'm doing it for me :)

Otherwise not much happening :)
